For this university project , the goal was to create a smart tool . For that to happen , I investigated the domestic environment unresolved problems and found the usual alarm clock.
A typical alarm is a routine object with huge monotony and little interaction with the user and these were the main features that i tried to improve or change.
So that, I though in an alarm clock that would interact much more with the user. Why not a pillow? Why not a pillow alarm clock that know our wants in the morning? What we would like to hear, what would be good to hear.. So, i was wondering if my idea was viable and i reached a conclusion. It is a possible idea to materialise, nowadays exists technology enough for this projet. And the pad could interact with the computer, television and phone to receive information about music and sounds heard by us creating a database depending on weather, seasons, moon stats, horoscope and date. With this database, the pillow would chose the right song to play in the next day countering the monotony and routine of users that have the same touch and thoughs every morning.
In addition to the different songs every morning, the pillow would present a different color according to the user state of mind. However, the application of the user have the option to choose a final color or a final twist.
All options in relation to the pad would be taken by the application and the only interaction between the pad and the user would be a small green light that spark whenever it was turned on some option or a red light whenever you turn off an option .
The technology that would be used on pillow's color changeing would be lumalive presented by the Philips company.
