Dr. Dang’s lab is an innovative healthcare design project. Form of the building and use of jaali resembles a skewed, rotated cuboidal form used over the glass façade of the project.
The perforations of Jaali and glass façade ensures clear visibility of the surrounding green spaces around and uninterrupted access to the balconies, cafes, and other semi-open spaces for the users.
This not only provides an interesting play of light and shadow but also, reduces the heat gain of the building via direct exposure to the glass façade to sunlight. Therefore, Jaali acts as an element of sustainability and of aesthetic importance, for the building form.
