in collaboration with Tanja Eickhoff-The Currywurst suffers from the sleazy image of its
booths. Our approach was to give them a new self-confidence by adding small details, with the aim to bring the booths back
into the focus of the public discussion and to reintroduce them as a designable object. The white and inconspicuous snack bar receives a new face: the eye-catching and memorable
cross. A clinical atmosphere with white
reflective surfaces in combination with a red cross is opposed to the traditional
image of the booths. Accessories
like the regular plastic cutlery and paper towels are simply complemented by the logo, while the plates receive a distinctive kidney
shape. Who
sits down at station 2 receives a ,hospital tray', which one can put on his legs.
