Landmark Contemporary Country House
within South Downs National Park, Hampshire UK.

After a detailed tender/ design process Kuche was chosen to work with the client and architects Birds Portchmouth Russum to develop a kitchen concept for this outstanding building. The brief was to create a functional beautiful kitchen that assimilated with the overall aesthetic of the house, and the Integrating of “must have” appliances (WOLF/ SUB ZERO).

The inspiration was to integrate bold colours with traditional/ modern materials including wood, stone, glass and stainless steel, thus complimenting the overall quality of the house.

All cabinetry was made bespoke by KUCHE. The design had to incorporate a coffee station which had to blend with the kitchen when open or closed, Bookmatched oak veneer was used for the shelving and drawers with fully integrated LED lighting. A bi- folding door system was used to create an adaptoble solution. We created an Oak surround/ wall to incorporate SUBZERO Fridge freezer which included beautiful detailing on all junctions. We worked closely with WOLF/ SUBZERO to develop bespoke cabinetry that integrated seamlesly with appliances and achieve a unique, elegant finish. Coloured glass was used as a wall cladding, the main section followes the window line with an exciting splash of red.

The challenges of delivering the design for this project, given the overall quality and technical detail of this landmark building was enormously difficult however this was overcome with our experience and expertise in this area. The project showcases the level of detailing KUCHE was required to deliver for this inspirational building.

The overall view of the finished kitchen compliments this fantastic building, the client was committed to an extremely high level of design and finish. The whole building/ interior fits in with the owners lifestyle and ideas, and KUCHE created the kitchen that is at the centre of this.
