This is a small house in Yanaka area in Tokyo. The site is fully surrounded by other houses and there is only a narrow ally from the front road to the site. The approach starts from the ally, then gradually goes up and winds itself around the house. The center core is an abstract white cube and there are a living, a dining, a kitchen, a bathroom and bedrooms. In the wound corridor, there are a private art gallery, a library, and a studying space for the family. At the same time, they can use the roof of the corridor as roof gardens and terraces. It means there are double helix spaces in this house.
