Two new university faculties of the university of Doulaa are to be the core of a new area of development on the perimeter of the city.On is the Medecine and pharmacy faculty ( FMEP )and the other is the industrial engineering faculty ( FGI )In line with the vision of the two deans, the aim of the urban scheme is to open the campus to its surroundings to anchor learning onto meaningful and concrete service to the city. This aim is expressed in space through a plaza that extends from a central plaza into the two faculty garden.The garden would survey and promote the more then 200 species of Cameroon botanic patrimony. An indirect goal to unveil and protect this rich aspect of cameroon from foreign interest.The two faculties are wrapped in a wood and aluminum veil to be realized in panels by nearby artisans. Each faculty will have a specific pattern related to its identity.As budget are strict, the faculty is design on a modular bloc principle inserted gradually within the respective faculty veils. It insures a coherent initial phase that is open to upcoming invesments and needs.From this territorial portal, a new campus will extend respecfully into the jungle.
