Jeffrey Hutchison & Associates (JHA) created a bold new visual language for the Dooney & Bourke brand while simultaneously maintaining respect for the heritage of the company. This retail concept is brought to life in a sophisticated freestanding store that occupies approximately 2,500 square feet on one level in the new Venetian Macau Resort. JHA created a modern yet warm environment that updates the Dooney & Bourke image while expressing the richness and detail found in its product. The front of the store incorporates a dramatic wall sculpted out of wood slats, creating a front entry for the space and highlighting key products to passersby. JHA utilized nautical-inspired details and forms, interpreting them in a modern way for an experience that is both somewhat familiar and fresh. The curved, slatted wood walls provide a rich backdrop for the Dooney & Bourke product.
