This project involved the extension of a large period house to the rear over two stories with a roof garden. The clients wanted a contemporary design that complimented the period house. There was an existing extension to the rear but it was over 30 years old and severely compromised. We rebuilt it from the foundations up using a state of the art aluminium curtain wall that allows the entire kitchen/dining area at first floor level to open to the outside. Frameless glazing on the balconies also allows uninterrupted views over the stunning south facing garden. We transformed the ground floor into a home office and the created a roof garden off the master suite on the second floor.
