The Domaine des Constellations offers a unique nature-based lodging experience in the Mauricie region. For their new section of mini-cabins located by the lakeside, Agence Spatiale has reimagined the conceptual approach to create an unforgettable experience fully connected to the forest.
The living space is intentionally compact to minimize the impact on the site and remain as close as possible to the lake. Slim roofs extend outward to shelter covered terraces, which act as direct extensions of the compact, optimized living areas. The delicate treatment of wooden columns and frames lends a sense of lightness, further enhanced by the transparency of the small structures. This sensitive and minimalist architectural approach evokes the verticality of trees, blending the mini-cabins seamlessly with the forest. The boundaries between interior and exterior dissolve, giving way to natural light, the elements, the lake, and the surrounding flora and fauna.
The layout of the cabins is designed to integrate organically into the natural trails while ensuring privacy between units. The structures are also designed to support playful elements, such as swings and other features, adding a personalized touch to each cabin and enriching the user experience.
