Doğuş Automotive Headquarters is located on the Asian side of Istanbul, facing towards E-5 (D 100) O-1 motorway. It is on the west end of a plot which adjacent to metro station. The neighbouring sales and service facility buildings are also designed by MUUM within the masterplan.
The building geometry is formed by two L shaped rectangular prisms wrapping inside a third rectangular prism resembling to the gesture of two hands one on another to protect a jewel inside. The design approach was to accomplish a flexible, energy efficient and sustainable architecture.
While the façade of the building generates a reference to the urban scale the wide stairs beginning from sales showroom to sidewalk offers a public place for passers-by and a meeting point.
MUUM responded within human-centric environment design principles; provided healthy, comfortable, enjoyable, efficient, and flexible space for the users and the close community. The office block generates a landmark with its dignified, plain appearance in the urban fabric while maximizing efficiency that MUUM regards in every project
