A deliberate effort to design with un-aligned walls and obtuse and acute angles, but which enclosed spaces to function as rooms and areas of convergence. Translated to relationships, it postulates that people could disagree, contradict one another, diverge - but continue to understand, start again, with forgiveness enabling us to make it all work out.
First point of arrival and convergence is the kitchen, believed to be the area which nurtures the most, where family love is at its most concrete. Its color is in stark contrast with the white structure: red orange cabinets mirroring the color of the African tulips which abound in the area, juxtaposed with midnight black kitchen counters.
Sensitivity to environmental and tropical design by cross-ventilation, proper orientation, rainwater harvesting and use of available technology for low energy consumption.
