This site is located below Bireggwald in the Matthof district in the city of Lucerne, as well as in the Stutzstrasse district in the municipality of Horw.
The gently sloping north-facing hillside overlooking Lake Lucerne is bisected by a small stream flowing from Bireggwald towards the lake. The property of over 6,000 m² was donated by the charitable Werner and Micheline Dittli-Tripault Foundation. The late couple's existing villa – built in 1966 by the Lucerne architects A. and L. Ammann-Stebler – still stands on the south-east boundary of this large site.
The location and shape of the site determined the development's structure. The concept includes five new apartment Buildings. Three laterally staggered volumes extend from the bottom of the slope to the existing villa along the eastern lotline. The other two Buildings are positioned on the western lotline, leaving enough room for outside space and the stream.
