Philosophy
- "Stone and Fire": the new district heating buldings plays with two elements. The building stands in the middle of the orchard's side of Silandro and it is done of the same natural material of the site.
The main part of the building has a stone facade made with gabion wall, and another volume that hosts the biomass' storage is entirely realized with wood and has a garden roof. On the facades of this second volume are fixed some steel wire: in this way plants could grow up and create a green wall.
