The layout of the apartment did not respond appropriately to the client's demands. In addition, it was characterized by different closed spaces that did not communicate with each other and this resulted in sectorized views, eliminating the possibility of enjoying the panoramic view that the privileged position of the building and the apartment allowed.
Positive element the views, spectacular from every room.
PROJECT PROPOSAL
The intention behind the design intervention carried out in DIORAMA was to include the spectacular exterior views and achieve, at least in the living area, a panoramic view of (almost) 180°, rethinking the interior spaces in a contemporary way and making sure that dialogue with each other and with the landscape.
The transparency, the permeability of the spaces, the game, wise, of delimiting without closing, the simplicity, are the elements that we considered to design this apartment and achieve our objective, which was to eliminate the limit between interior and exterior and include the views as part of the compositional elements that constitute to the interior design. When carrying out the demolitions of those walls that closed environments that we wanted to establish a dialogue between them, we limited ourselves to introducing elements that were predominantly transparent and permeable to the eye, made with lacquered wood customized, which allow us to delimit the diffent spaces and define them within the general space of the apartment.
The selection of the furniture, with its simple lines, and the finishes, both characterized by sobriety and a neutral color palette, is due to the desire to let the view be the true protagonist.
Diorama: panorama of which the prospective effects are exalted through opportune artifices.
