An example of true urban divergence, the site is located on the edge of an industrial zone, across from a line of housing buildings. The project positions a floating horizontal form behind the existing line of trees, blocking most of the views into the yard behind. The construction is superimposed over the protective sheath that changes colour and level of transparency according to function, thus also echoing the repetition of the facades opposite. In the back, the yard is bordered by a solid concrete wall on one side and a line of iron slabs on the other. A covered structure with concrete walls and a light steel roof construction houses recycling facilities; its wide overhangs provide outside workspace in all weather conditions. The rusty colour of all visible metal constructions echoes the prevailing colour scheme of the yard, filled with crushed cars and various broken machinery.
