Excited by the potential of the larger formal studies in Digital Masonry I, this study explores masonry as ornament and texture through an aggregation of masonry units. We employed a technique derived from MC Escher’s tessellated drawings by extending the "cut + reattach" concept into the third dimension. The resultant designs were then tested against structural and fabrication limitations, and a final set of bricks were fabricated using a CNC mill to produces a silicone mold for repetitive use.
