Located on the eighth floor of the Pacific Building in Seattle, the design of Digital Kitchen’s headquarters focused on a number of enhancements to improve the overall functionality of the office: a reworked conference room; storage space for video, technology and R&D needs; open and flexible work areas and gathering spaces.
Anchoring the office is a new wood clad structure that functions as private photography and video editing suites and offers opportunities for both interaction and privacy. Olson Kundig also designed a number of new spaces to house the company’s digital servers and technology needs.
Breakout spaces for employees to gather and collaborate were introduced, including a long work counter and flexible seating area. One of the office’s focal points is a live pin-up wall, which is integral to the team’s project work. Olson Kundig also reprogrammed the main conference room, a private meeting room near the main entry, craft room and kitchen.
Digital Kitchen now had a flexible and collaborate space to enable their innovative and creative work in the fields of branding and strategy planning.
