During the phase of project and construction of this building, the real-estate market in Barcelona was very active. This scene did that it was increasingly difficult the differentiation of a real-estate product of the rest of it them offers. The core idea of this project was to prove that the trend to suppose that the interests real-estate and the architectural ones are incompatible can be mistaken, and that though there are constructed 4 or 5 housings less, the apartment would be spatially unique, different to everything what was constructed in the zone.
The result is a building with 22 apartments and 11 different type of apartments, which offers an extreme extent in the forms and sizes of the apartments
There are housings in duplex, in one floor plan and others that have frontal and back front. This disposition does that in certain floor plans the community zones do not exist, which supposes a double saving. Besides the ground floor dedicated to business premises, two plants of basements exist with capacity for 38 spaces of parking. In all the units a response is sought to give not only morphologic towards the exterior, but also to take advantage of the double spaces towards the Av. Diagonal, which us was coinciding with the south orientation, that is to say towards the sea.
The constructive details were worn out meticulously since the project constructed itself with the system "fixed price" what demanded an exercise of definition of the very complex project. Formally I work as a dark box to which there are annexed white volumes that compose an asymmetric but balanced front. The above mentioned volumes answer in some cases to double spaces so that they optimize the entry of light of this.
