The Dhoot Transmission - Industrial Facility is conceived as a next-generation manufacturing campus that integrates operational efficiency with human-centric design.
The architectural design is structured around a 6.0-meter-wide internal road that ensures efficient vehicular movement, logistics handling, and fire access. Along with the color-coded circulation bands, and clear movement aisles that enhance safety and productivity. Landscape lawns positioned along the entrance and peripheral zones soften the industrial mass while introducing moments of relief within the otherwise high-performance campus.
At the centre of the campus lies the manufacturing block—conceived as a large-span unobstructed workspace that allows flexible assembly arrangements, seamless material handling, and future expansion area.
Administrative functions are positioned near the front of the campus and include reception, office workspaces, executive cabins, HOD rooms, meeting rooms, and conference areas. This placement allows managerial visibility and institutional identity while maintaining acoustic and functional separation from the industrial area.
A significant design move was the integration of employee-centered facilities directly within the campus. The inclusion of a dedicated training hall, cafeteria, pantry, creche, drinking water points, janitorial services, and inclusive sanitation amenities reinforces the idea of the factory as a daily workplace.
The project adopts a industrial material palette centered around pre-engineered steel systems, durable flooring finishes, insulated roofing assemblies, lightweight interior partitions, and efficient glazing systems for administrative spaces. This combination allows rapid execution, low maintenance, and long-span structural efficiency while maintaining a clean contemporary visual design style.
