Since each of Dhamani’s jewelry creations are one-of-a-kind works of art, the design team envisioned the boutique as a glamorous art gallery in which to view the art of Dhamani; an extravagant museum similar to the grand art salons found in eminent residential estates.
Luxurious and opulent handmade materials, sourced from around the world, reinforce the boutique’s elegant, art-gallery ambiance while helping to draw customers into the rich and immersive space. Customers are surrounded in sumptuous style, from the silk carpeting and embossed leather, to dark-walnut display cases and handcrafted wall coverings. Bronze-hued finishes and rose gold accents, Dhamani’s brand colors, are subtly applied throughout.
Dhamani’s distinctive, signature floral pattern is highly recognizable to their target market so incorporating the pattern within the space would create instant brand recognition. The designers conceived a bronze-finished screen, featuring Dhamani’s floral motif, to serve as an environmental art piece and as a transparent screening element. The screen was laser cut from five millimeter thick metal into individual sections and hand-assembled with 7,000 individual welds. Each leaf and every branch were individually hand-ground to create a smooth, seamless effect. The finished screen was hand-rubbed in a bronze finish for a singular, monumental presence.
Run-of-the-mill jewelry display cases are typically overloaded with merchandise which overwhelms the customer and minimizes merchandise impact. To reduce sensory clutter, Dhamani 1969’s displays take cues from museums and art galleries. Bust forms and a limited number of jewelry pieces are set within wall vitrines and custom display cases, creating an exhibit-like atmosphere. Dark case frames and linings, along with concealed spotlights that maximize gemstone scintillation, draw the eye directly to the jeweled artwork.
