Jiyugaoka is an area in Tokyo with individual unique spaces spread here and there. In this design we intended to make the living space as another attractive spot for the region; pleasant and full of excitement. The whole has a systematic plan, with 12 various types of flats piling up each other rather complicatedly. The core and common corridors are kept as small as possible. To put accent on the core design, Corten Steel is used in exterior. The H-shaped RC pillar used in the core bears the horizontal force, therefore we were able to use flat pillars for other parts and create flexible floor plans. Most of the flats are duplex types, stretching vertically. Each flat has a unique design. We believe every individual unique space of this kind make a contribution towards the whole city.
