This detached studio, built on concrete piers and steel frame, floats over a gently sloping site. The client’s main wish was to have a structure made from natural materials and that opens up to his spectacular backyard. The studio contains a small kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping loft that surrounds a fireplace. To make the interior feel larger than its small foot print we used a high sweeping ceiling line, large glass panels, and one interior material that is used for the floors, ceiling, and walls.
