Pe langa cladirile emblematice ale municipiului Baia Mare, in apropiere de centrul istoric se afla o cladire care si-a pus amprenta asupra multor baimareni. „Butoiasul cu Bere” este localul unde decenii la rand, seara de seara, baimarenii respuneau povestea zilei trecute, in fata unui pahar. Putini sunt baimarenii care nu au o amintire legata de "Butoiasul cu bere” sau care nu cunosc o poveste despre acest local. Emaramures va prezinta povestea acestui local atat de cunoscut inainte de Revolutie.
