Széll Kálmán square is one of the busiest traffic hubs of Budapest, the renovation of which has become past due and necessary to be undertaken by the city. S39 Hybrid Design was invited to design and implement the design concrete surfaces and concrete objects of the square from Építész Stúdió, the general designer. Over the course of the design process, the preservation of the characteristic traits of the location’s objects was given special attention, as well as the creation of a kind of a metropolitan intimacy via the tactile concrete surfaces.
