Deseos de Vivir Senior Community Center is a small-scale community facility for older adults located in Alto Hospicio, northern Chile. With an area of approximately 110 m², the project was conceived as a meeting place for the members of the “Deseos de Vivir” senior citizens’ club, providing spaces for social activities, workshops and community life.

The architectural proposal is organized around two main spaces: an activity hall and a workshop, articulated through shaded corridors and outdoor shading structures that take advantage of the local climate. This system of covered circulation not only connects the programmatic areas, but also creates intermediate spaces for gathering, rest and everyday interaction.

Completed in 2024, the project seeks to provide older residents with a functional, welcoming and climate-responsive place for participation and collective activities.
