dai was charged with creating the corporate identity and interior design for a vegetarian restaurant in Zurich called der Veg. To complement and showcase the restaurant’s core concept—simple, healthy dishes served without attitude or fuss—dai provided an interior design and identity system that was relaxing and uncomplicated in design, yet warm and modern in ambience.
The interior space seating 70 is highlighted by tall ceilings reaching almost six meters, inspiring the creation of a custom lighting system that both visually anchor the space and provides sound absorbing characteristics. A simple yet striking use of lime green characterizes the identity system, conveying the restaurant’s vegetarian positioning in a refreshingly contemporary way.
