The dental polyclinic with orthopaedics and plastic surgery is a project for a private investor, promoting development of dental tourism in Croatia. The polyclinic covers an area of 1,200.00 square meters, has 20 dental units and specialist orthopaedics and plastic surgery units linked by common waiting areas and accompanying service areas, and a meeting room for staff and associates.
To break the monotony of long corridors and existing orthogonal construction scheme, a system of irregular-shaped spaces is introduced. Dental units are designed as separate elements and common areas (waiting rooms and halls with accompanying expansions) as unified space, both in terms of floor and ceiling materials and lighting.
Large space height with glass partition walls allows the system of boxed elements which create the impression of “house within a house”.
