Soaring 160 metres and 46 storeys, the new LEED-certified Delta Toronto hotel, designed by Page+Steele/IBI Group Architects, is the largest and tallest freestanding hotel built in the city in the past 20 years.
Fronting on Bremner Street between the CN Tower, MTCC, and Rogers Centre to the west and Maple Leaf Square to the east, this exciting mixed-use development will add to the vitality of Southcore, Toronto’s new sports and entertainment district. The hotel is the signature tower in what will be a fully integrated complex that includes two office towers to the east.
The hotel connects people with Toronto’s financial and entertainment districts through direct access to the PATH, via an urban forest roof, to Union Station and to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The hotel acts as a stepping stone to neighbouring cultural and sporting events, attractions, and a revitalized waterfront.
The building’s architecture is comprised of large building blocks articulated by playful graphic patterns that are fresh, innovative and memorable. In keeping with Delta’s mission of being strong community builders, this building and Southcore Financial Centre will go a long way in building and reinforcing the Southcore community.
