Delici(house) encourages a life style that centers around the growth, cultivation and consumption of fruits. Situated on the post industrial waterfront of Philadelphia, housing is inserted under a lifted ground plane creating a spatial relationship between living and growing. Slopes potting depths and heights are determined by plant species, resulting is specified spacial character with in the adjacent living space. Netting is used to protect the fruit and ease harvesting as they allow the fruits to naturally fall into the water pools below. Seasonal changes transform the localized site characteristics, and over time fruiting plants will propagate through out the city providing beauty, shade and food.
