The renovation of the Delfin I was conceived as an opportunity to reimagine a way of traveling through the Peruvian Amazon: immersive, respectful, and deeply connected to the land. More than a functional redesign, the project proposes a sensory experience where architecture accompanies the landscape and reveals its essence.
The intervention included the complete transformation of cabins and common areas, the upgrade of technical systems, and a structural expansion of the hull. Every design decision follows a guiding principle: to inhabit the jungle without interrupting it, to contemplate it from within. Materials were chosen for their warmth, origin, and durability, in harmony with the environment.
Inspired by organic patterns —such as the scales of native reptiles— the new architectural language weaves together tradition and modernity, creating spaces that feel grounded. The suites, with private terraces and panoramic views, extend the traveler’s experience into the vastness of the landscape, merging interior and exterior in a single gesture of contemplation.
Delfin I is a moving platform for contemplation. Every space invites introspection, wonder, and a slower pace that allows the river and the jungle to speak. An experience that embodies the values of Delfin Amazon Cruises: connection, respect, and a profound sense of place.
