The central building is designed as a floating ellipse with glass inset into the edge of the ellipse creating an illusion of floating walls. The 2 wings of the compound are flanked by a colonnaded interior | exterior gallery on one side and auto barn area on the other. Traditional thick walled construction and colonnade provide relief from the Valley’s summer heat. The site was very flat and somewhat exposed to view, Conrad specified a large berm to seat the buildings into the terrain, adding privacy for the clients.
