The DeKalb County Farm Bureau is on of the oldest organizations of its kind in Northern Illinois. It is a leadership organization advocating and providing services for and about farms and those involved in agricultural production in the region. The DCFB worked closely with Larson and Darby Group to create a series of office and community spaces to support their organization.

What was created was a series of interlocked pavilions that focus on a central auditorium. The design draws on the simple vernacular architecture and materials of the region to create an iconic building that effectively communicates its purpose and does so with a solemnity and reverence that is wholly appropriate to its use.
