lighting store, Phuket, Thailand

Early in the year 2012, Degree
Lighting Store, a new-generation-customized lighting store, has decided to open
a new branch in Phuket, the famous, spectacular and colorful island located in
the south of Thailand.
The main concept of the store is
inspired mainly by its location, to be a part of the sea, and to get along with
Phuket which is also known as “The Pearl of Andaman”. At the same time, the
store must be hip, modern to get along with the concept of Degree Lighting.
To achieve the main idea, the
interior white walls were put up not only to symbolize “Fish Scales” but also
to protect the building from the sea strong west sunlight in the afternoon.
The screen walls were made from
standard size white painted zinc sheet which are cut easily in straight line
with no leftover materials. The light weight zinc ribbons were fold into zigzag
shape in order to be able to stack up and self stand vertically.
As these zinc screens are made and installed by
its highly skilled, in-house craft man, the store is now proving to its
customers about how sophisticate their customized products can be. Furthermore,
these walls also generate an incredible lighting effect and create appropriate
indirect light for the backside space as well.
