Deathridge Residence
A renovation to an existing home/workshop for an up and coming custom fabrication shop owner. The concept was to bring a modern mountain vernacular to this home set on a rural site.The present state of the home lacks a clear designation of entry, as well as any visible hierarchy of space. The proposed renovation addresses the need for an entry with a welcoming gable porch entry attached to a new entry volume housing a lower level foyer and an upper level covered patio space. The material palette is one that compliments the surrounding forest and countryside.
