The master plan is there to replace the unsustainable buildings concieved in the 60s and 70s.
From the program of entire school group, taking into account the local peripheral schools, a lasting vision was developed with the possibility of a variable implementation for the various school groups. The primary and secondary school gets a new realisation after the demolition of the existing school. The urban conditions state that the new building should be positioned on the border of the premises so the façade line is retained in the street scene.
An important principle was to not lose the interaction with the public space and perspectives so the complicity with the street and the playground was sustained. The floorplan gives its dynamic expression in the composition of the façade.
The school board opted for a highly flexible and modern open learning system.
No standard classrooms but the various activities can be generated by opening up of the different "class areas".
