Global Architects is currently realising this project, consisting of at least 18 apartments and 4 family-houses from 36 to 160 m2. It offers the possibilities for joint facilities, shared kitchen, fitness room, sports facilities, multi-functional space for parties, meetings, workshop space, garden, gardening, working at home, including a guesthouse.”Sustainability ‘De Rede’ is situated in the Blok0, in the Houthavens in Amsterdam and is developed in a system of collective private commissions (CPO). This area in the capital of The Netherlands is designated by the Dutch government as to be developed as an fully environmental sustainable area, with at least seven attractive residential islands. There is room for approximately 2,000 homes, over 70 houseboats and amenities such as schools, restaurants, a hotel, health care institutions and business areas. The projects in the Houthaven of Amsterdam will be built a 100% carbon neutral. In this district, for example own energy is generated by solar panels which will make the area rather self-sufficient in energy use.
