A DWELLING FIT FOR ITS USERSThis is a 3 storey development for 3 sisters who wish to live on the same site. Each floor is dedicated for each sister and has common service areas. The roof deck common for all families and can be used for small gatherings and parties.AIR FLOW AT ALL TIMESThis project aims at maximizing the wind through passive cooling. All windows are located strategically to face the wind path through out the year. No area in the structure is stripped of natural sunlight and ventilation. SUSTAINABILITY IN MIND For materials, the project will consist of a concrete mixture with rice husk ash which is abundant in the country. As for finishes, other than the interior bedrooms, the project aims at using the natural finish of its raw materials, even for the concrete. As the Philippines practically has rain 10 months of the year, this project will collect rainwater from the roof to be used in toilet flushing, watering the garden, car cleaning, and can even be configured with a slow sand filter, to supply its own potable water.
