The Square – a new social and meeting space for DDB. The redesign of the existing 32,000 SF space for an advertising agency spread over three floors with a “no preconceptions” attitude. The process began with a multiple stakeholder discussion and developed into a close study of functional, social, as well as spatial relationships. The design strategy was to open up the space in two ways: creating flexible, open, adaptable studio spaces throughout and proposing a connecting atrium space that would join all the floors, creating not only a centre for the agency but also a signature element that sets them apart from their competition.
