When the “old” is a hidden potential … It is important to believe that a renovation does not nullify completely the memory of a lifetime but can take these features and transport them once again into the present. The renovation does not have to just improve, modernize and upgrade, but can also invoke the memory of a space that was overlooked and that can make the difference in the present day.

This apartment of about 55 square meters was severely degraded and it was necessary to intervene at all levels. Nevertheless, we kept the original pine floors adequately recovered and in the kitchen we chose to replace the old hydraulic mosaic floor for a new one very similar with the originals that were badly damaged.

The space was completely open and reinforced with steel beams and partition elements and furniture were created, inspired by the original wooden floors.
