Dark House is designed outside the urban area, away from the noise of Vilnius city.
The architectural challenge was to fit a new house into an existing natural environment, preserving all the trees on the plot. The oak tree growing in the middle of the area became the highlight of the house's courtyard.
Architecture of a single floor house is close to the scale of human and nature, developing a private connection between them. All living spaces are oriented to the courtyard with a view of the forest.
Large windows connect indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a cozy and peaceful atmosphere for residents and their guests.
Ecological and natural materials are an important part of design in the development of modern Architecture. Dark stone slabs are combined with natural wood on building facades.
