Maximizing urban living while minimizing its carbon footprint, Daniels MPV2 is among the largest low-carbon, master-planned projects to date in Brampton, Ontario.
A 19-acre eco-urban neighbourhood, Daniels MPV2 is a pedestrian-forward, transit-centric model of living. A sustainably designed community, it is composed of condominium towers using the Earth as a thermal battery alongside net-zero townhomes using the Passive House Standard and are connected to rooftop solar photovoltaic arrays with exclusive use of electric energy. Combined, it forms a bold transition to a completely clean energy grid.
A living experience that holds promise for a city’s renewable future, parking is taken underground to create more room for green spaces, pedestrian pathways, and shared experiences: The high-rises are textured with sunny balconies and connected by pavilions, acting as linear gateways to shared tree-lined walkways and streets that link to a nearby public park and natural heritage valleylands. At its heart is an open multifunctional community space for gatherings and open-air dining alongside naturalized pollinator gardens and bioswales.
Guided by Lemay’s award-winning framework for maximizing sustainable strategies NET POSITIVE™ and a whole-life carbon commitment, the project is designed for significant heating and cooling-related energy savings, carbon emission reductions, and climatically adapted construction approaches.
