Our brief was to extend a traditional Victorian house to create a modern and open interior that would function both as the Clients' home and office.
The extension is top lit with a long glazed lantern and sliding/folding glazed screens linking the interior to a walled garden. The ceiling is stepped and lit by carefully placed dichroic lights recessed into the ceiling and walls.
From the road, the exterior of the house remains traditional with little indication of the contrasting bold and modern interior.
