Situé sur la rue Boisseau, Damien est un projet de trois maisons de ville à paliers qui s’insère sobrement dans le cadre urbain dense de Saint-Sauveur. À l’image de l’architecture d’inspiration néerlandaise, l’ensemble reprend quelques caractéristiques uniques de cette pratique novatrice dont le travail soigné de la maçonnerie, le jeu des textures et des couleurs de la brique, la simplicité de la matérialité et le désalignement des ouvertures rompant avec la composition traditionnelle des autres bâtiments du quartier. Proposant soit un garage ou un potentiel bureau à la maison sur rue au rez-de-chaussée, les pièces sont distribuées de part et d’autre d’un escalier central qui donne accès aux espaces de vie situés au dernier étage afin de profiter de l’ensoleillement abondant, d’un plafond à double hauteur et à structure apparente en bois d’ingénierie et d’une terrasse en toiture. À l’arrière, la façade offre un agencement simple de revêtements légers et de percements pour mettre en valeur les trois grandes cours végétalisées.

Located on Rue Boisseau, Damien is a three-storey townhouse project that blends soberly into the dense urban setting of Saint-Sauveur. In keeping with Dutch-inspired architecture, the ensemble incorporates some of the unique features of this innovative practice, including the careful workmanship of the masonry, the play of brick textures and colors, the simplicity of the materiality and the misalignment of the openings, breaking with the traditional composition of other buildings in the neighborhood. Offering either a garage or a potential office to the house on the street on the first floor, the rooms are distributed on either side of a central staircase that gives access to the living spaces on the top floor to take advantage of the abundant sunlight, a double-height ceiling with exposed engineered wood structure and a roof terrace. To the rear, the facade features a simple combination of light cladding and openings to highlight the three large green courtyards.
