For today
power efficiency and sustainable development questions in building and
operation of buildings and constructions are very actual. The decision of a
problem of a sustainable development is reflected within the limits of process
of Marrakesh on steady manufacture and consumption.
It is known
that about 40 % of all world energy it is consumed, as at building of new
buildings, so, especially, and, at operation and service already existing.
Hence, it is necessary to introduce urgently measures on conservation of
energy, increase of power efficiency and increase in a share of the renewed
energy sources used in buildings and constructions.
For
acceleration application of the combined manufacture of heat and the energy,
new concepts is necessary for acceleration of the expanded application of
renewed energy sources of "clever electric systems» (smart grids),
technological, legal and financial innovations.
In the
given project special attention is given advancement of introduction of power
saving up technologies and renewed energy sources along with ecological,
economic, social and cultural aspects of stability.
The object
which is subject to reconstruction and reconsideration, settles down in
northwest region of Russia, occupies island in gulf of Finland, and for today
represents one of regressive areas of a large megacity, owing to the
geographical arrangement, being separately from the central areas of
St.-Petersburg. Through island there passes the important transport artery – a
ring highway round St.-Petersburg, and a sea way to Baltic (the largest seaport
which will connect a city with Western and the Eastern Europe nearby is under
construction). Thereof the projected area has the important strategic value.
The concept
of development of island Kotlin in gulf of Finland provides creation of
essentially new urbanistic fabric solved in modern bionical forms, reminding
olive branches, which forms picturesque systems of streets and quarters.
The basic
idea of the project consists in creation of ecologically steady and power
effective city space, designed according to the highest world eco-requirements
and standards. This city district means in itself the newest technologies of the
self-provision of energy, 50000 persons necessary for residing and full
processing of a waste.
As a
climate in the given area mid-continental cold winters both rainy spring and
autumn also take place, for comfortable residing of inhabitants by the project
placing of the central transport and foot artery cross-cutting island from the
West on the east approximately on 10 km, representing a certain tube in which
settle down evergreen walking promenade for pedestrians with trading and
entertaining functions, a tram line, motor transport hidden under the earth,
and also engineering communications is provided. It would be desirable to
notice that this pipe represents a design from glass, with application of
modern power saving up technologies and allows to accumulate a solar energy, in
a power supply system the system of accumulation, processing and the further
use of rain waters also is used. This green garden will all-the-year-round
involve inhabitants of island and will be a place for their rest and free pastime,
thanks to presence of various serving and entertaining functions.
In the
central part of island business and shopping a zone including, besides modern
offices and floor spaces, the centre on steady manufacture and consumption,
studying of influence of the person on environment, with possibility of
carrying out of the international conferences and symposiums settles down.
In one of
island parts settles down EDUCATIOANAL ZONE with modern schools and colleges.
Historical
quarter in the island centre remains, on purpose to keep a historical heritage.
The project
of reconstruction of island will allow to solve a number of problems in this
remote area of St.-Petersburg, such as: creation of new workplaces, increase of
the social status of area, filling by a various modern infrastructure and
increase of the general economic and ecological appeal.
The given
project, after detailed study, can serve as a certain standard in the decision
of a question of building of steady cities. On rather small space there is a
possibility to create and fulfil model of a city of the future as much as
possible approached to the nature, both on the architecture, and on degree of
influence on surrounding environment.
We hope
that the projects similar to ours, in the near future can pay attention of the
people, making administrative strategic decisions, to aspects of a sustainable
development of cities that finally, can affect the general ecological situation
in the world and help mankind to reflect seriously on a theme of minimisation
of factors of negative influence on environment and to reduce the general harm,
brought to the nature last centuries.
