D14 is a multi unit residential project comprising 6 building blocks and 14 independent units on a 34000 sqft site in Istanbul.
Responding directly to the site’s topography, the building blocks are positioned at varying levels, introducing spatial differentiation within a consistent and uniform floor plan strategy.
Departing from conventional site planning approaches and the prevailing regional typology, D14 is conceived as a concave residential field, defined by perimeter block placement and a shared internal courtyard that acts as the spatial core of the project.
Each unit is assigned a private garden while also engaging with the collective landscape of the courtyard. This central void operates as the primary axis for pedestrian and vehicular circulation, and accommodates shared programmatic elements including a pool, terraces, yoga decks and small scale cultivation areas.
