There will be a stylish new custom clear laminated glass curtainwall screen with an sgp interlayer providing hurricane impact protection. The glass screen also prevents strong wind driven rain from entering the new exterior opening elevator doors. The dynamic white AESS architecturally exposed steel HSS structure follows the glass screen as it slopes and folds. The horizontals are butt glazed with structural sealant and has curtainwall cap removed. This emphasizes the verticality. The vertical mullions shall have mullion caps. There are glass panels at the sides of the glass screen clamped by railing panel tabs. At twilight, there is dramatic LED lighting which is also directed away from the dorm room windows. The LED bulbs last 15 years before they need to be replaced.
