The concept of the "redesign" of the facade is based on a simple idea:
We have designed a curtain around the building.
We have designed a series of long, straight columns around the old building, which have been distributed in a fashion that is reminiscent of the curtains used in old cinemas, theatres and multi-purpose halls. A white curtain (of DuPont) around the old building of Pushkinsky cinema.
They provide the building a classy and elegant look. This curtain around the building demonstrate a uniform concept of interaction between the new look of the cinema hall and the historic city environment. The curtain is a fine, airy surface in front of the building; yet it consists of sturdy white columns, which, with their solid mass, make connection with the historic city environment, and refer to the Tver Gate of the White City.
The building of Pushkinsky cinema hall become a new "skin", it is DuPont Corian Everest and Linen, panelised facade systems; and DuPont SentryGlas curtain wall on behalf of the old glas-construction. The curtain itself is DuPont Alesta white powder coating on a simple reinforced concrete construction.
