The Curlew Residence started with the owner's request for an 800SF 2nd story addition to their existing bungalow. They needed more space and wanted to take advantage of partial city and bay views from the second level. Unfortunately, the proposed views were mostly blocked by their 2-story neighbor.
Our solution: build where the view is! We proposed a tower in front of the existing home and an extension of the living area at the back to achieve commanding panoramic views of city and bay from the primary spaces by looking around and over the neighbors.
