A palate of wood and concrete is used to rebuild a two story porch that includes a hydraulic bench to access stairs to the basement, a slatted wall and ceiling that covers a neighbor's unsightly wall and joists, a louvered railing that helps shade the porch below and directs views to the garden and wide stairs that terrace to the garden and the pathway leading to the carriage house.
