The project focuses on the organization of the wide terrace belonging to a professional office, facing a courtyard, located at the second floor of building in the city centre of Bologna. The relation between the openings location and the width of the spaces suggested a different treatment of the diverse areas that ideally divide the terrace: a distribution path, placed on the existing paving and realized with artificial turf, was traced, connecting two “green oasis” and creating perspective effects thanks to the orthogonal allocation of the plants’ pots, which have been realized converting industrial elements used in agriculture. With the intention to favour the scenographical aspect of the view from the working stations and to attenuate the level of introspection generated by the proximity to the surroundings buildings, it was decided to concentrate most of the greenery next to the openings, alternating plants with seasonal blossoming and evergreens with medium stems, in order to guarantee the “green filter” function and to generate diverse chromatisms during the year. The area next to the only access is dedicated to relax and equipped with a 3,5×3,5m gazebo, outdoor chairs and tables.
